So, now that I've gotten that off of my chest, I'm just going to be a bit more rational about this rather than have just an angry rant journal here. So here we go:
First things first, I'm pretty sure that, even if we had won, there still would have been riots. Why? Well, there happen to be extremely stupid people who want to start crap simply because they want to or they think it's cool/fun/whatever. And this was one of the places where they thought they could do it. And I'm pretty sure those people are not all true fans, they came there with the intention to cause crap, not necessarily to come and cheer on the team. Then again, I'm sure there might have been a couple of fans who were angry and simply wanted to trash things to show it.
So what are the consequences of all of this?
It makes us, the fans and people of Vancouver, look really ,really bad. And there are going to be judgements about us made.
So if people do read this, I just want to say that:
No,
Not all of us cause riots like that after a hockey game,
We were sad after we lost, of course, who wouldn't be? But it's really only those people who took it to the extreme and it hurts the rest of us and I hate seeing comments on how Canadians are stupid because we riot over hockey games and are sore losers.
That's not how it is, it's only those shit-disturbers, the rest of us were either:
1) At home, watching the game
2) Out and about doing something else, such as, say, at work or what have you
3) Stuck downtown simply because they were caught up in the mess and the sky trains were stalled for a period of time.
So I really hope that others will learn that it wasn't all of Vancouver that's doing this, and yes, it was a large crowd, but if you think of the population here and how it's grown, it really is a small percentage of the populace that are the rioters.

As for myself, I was there when the game started and I was there until about the middle of the second period, when my little sister and I left and I met up with my friends and we went to their house, so I was out of the mess. Same thing with my sisters, they were alright too
I hope that those who were caught up in the mess against their will are safe.

In the end, I congratulate the Boston Bruins on their well deserved Stanley Cup win, and I hope that everything can be sorted out eventually.

Just.... WOW.
I am truly disappointed.
Yes, we lost the Stanley Cup Final,
Yes, we feel sad about it,
Yes, we think our team could have done better,
BUT!
Did we REALLY have to go and light cars on fire, topple the fences, throw glass bottles and molotov cocktails at other people's heads, and beat up Boston fans????
REALLY VANCOUVER?!?! REALLY?!?!?
There was even ONE STABBING (from what I heard, there could be more) AND LOOTING
It's just disgraceful, and the country, no, THE WORLD is seeing this.
I'm just ashamed right now, I really, really hate shit disturbers. The people who just want to start crap just because they don't know how to control themselves or just because they feel like it.
I really hate [EDIT] the rioters [END EDIT] right now.
